After you have kids, the romance and sweetness for no reason seems more and more distant. In the beginning, every morning (before I awoke) I would have a text message waiting for me that said “Good Morning Beautiful! I Love You!”. Seriously. Everyday! And then slowly but surely I would receive that text every few days, then once a week, until I eventually stopped receiving it! I liked getting it because not only does it give you a warm-fuzzy feeling, but I knew that meant my husband had made it into work safely.

Now we’re lucky if we can get the babies asleep and into bed before we pass out ourselves. It’s amazing how quickly things change. Now I know my husband is being romantic when he offer to change that stinky diaper without complaining! 
Honestly, my husband has always been clear about us needing “our time”. We LOVE our children and want them to be with us most of the time but it’s nice to have a dinner where mac and cheese doesn’t get slung on the wall every once in awhile. Plus I believe it makes our relationship stronger and makes us better parents!
