I have always been slim my entire life. Not super skinny (I like a little bump in my booty) but I believe my body naturally regulates everything, I just need to LISTEN to it! I live a decently active lifestyle and I try to make healthy, wholesome choices whenever I can.

Don’t sit in front of the tv or computer (while reading my blog) and eat! EVER! (I say this as I eat a biscuit for breakfast, but still.)

When you eat while distracted, you aren’t paying attention to what your body is telling you! When you’re indulging in Facebook and get halfway though that bag of potato chips, you don’t realize how full you are!

Have you ever eaten so much your stomach hurt so bad you thought you were going to explode?!?! Yeah me too! Not fun!

With that said, I do believe it’s important to EAT breakfast in the morning. It’s what kick starts your metabolism everyday. Your body uses less energy when you’re are sleeping (slowing of the metabolism) and in the morning when you eat breakfast, it lets your metabolism know you’re awake and it’s time to start burning fat!!

I’d rather have a big breakfast in the morning and then a small dinner at night. I usually cook breakfast here at home for the family but if you don’t have time for that in your busy morning, McDonald’s offers a variety of whole-grain oatmeal choices on its breakfast menu (available all day). The Fruit & Maple Oatmeal and the Apple Cinnamon Walnut Oatmeal are both 100% natural whole grain oats, rich in fiber and freshly prepared for you.

Through the McDonald’s “Made For You” cooking system, you can special order various menu items to help meet your nutritional needs. A range of serving sizes make it easy to create meal combinations that work for you and your family.
