Love Bug Magnets
Age Recommendation: 3yrs and up
Suggested Supplies:
- Various sizes of Pompoms
- Wiggly Eyes
- Hot Glue (or regular Elmer’s glue)
- Craft Foam (or card stock, or even construction paper)
- Pipe Cleaners
- Toilet Paper Roll
- Scissors
- Magnet
- And last but certainly not least, KIDS
TIP: Use what you have around the house.
This is an incredibly simple and fun craft for children! By using things around your home, the possibles are endless.
This can also be a learning activity for little ones. Use shapes whenever you can. For the bird, cut hearts to use as the wings.
TIP: Careful not too use to much glue. It can get messy.
You can glue wiggly eyes all over the place if you want! Just make sure your bug isn’t to heavy for your magnet!
To create a butterfly, you can glue a colored (or even glittered) toilet paper roll (or pompoms) onto the center of two hearts!
TIP: Use old leftover magnets (from the phone book) instead of buying them!
Cut smaller squares or rectangles (learning shapes) out of the magnets to use on the back of your bugs. Be sure you mix it up – make whatever critter you want.
FOUR other marvelous crafts:

What a cute craft idea! I printed this out so I can do this with my grandson!
These are absolutely adorable!! I’ve got three little guys and I’ve been trying to figure out a good craft for them to enjoy on Valentine’s Day. Its amazing how many projects can be made with just using things around the house. All it takes is a little imagination, as you very well know. 🙂 So thankful that my kiddos help bring some of that (imagination) into my life. Thanks for the post!! TFCT
Those are too cute and simple! Def. saving this idea for our little one 😉 I have to get craftier now that we’re expecting lol
Love the idea! This is even good for my kids, who are a couple years older. Maybe something we do this weekend!
