I planned on taking these pictures Tuesday when it was sunny beautiful outside. Then our schedules didn’t work out and I ended up taking these yesterday – while it was raining and foggy outside.
In the beginning it was only a light mist, but then it started raining harder and harder. I had to clean my lens and snap a few pictures before having to clean the rain off again!
I’m actually glad it was foggy though. It really made some beautiful pictures!
The first 3 are Straight Out Of the Camera. And the last few are obviously edited. I love the vintage look to the last one. And then the fog and the railroad track just completely set it off!

I tried photographing some pictures of the moon with my new lens. Which was a total failure! It was freezing and I was shaking so bad. So I got my tripod but I was in a hurry and couldn’t get my settings right… The moon is a difficult subject to capture. Here’s my best shot… if that’s what you want to call it….

Yay! It’s finally here! The SOOC Saturday one year celebration! I have created a new page for the SOOC Saturday rules so it’s not in every post! You can also grab the SOOC banner there too!

Ideally, as a photographer, your goal is to shoot a picture perfect the first time, not “oops I can fix that in Photoshop”. Editing programs are great for enhancing a photo but shouldn’t be used for fixing photos on a regular basis.
These are a few photos I took with my new zoom lens! I’ve been wanting to get some pictures of the cute critters that always seem to be roaming around the back yard but didn’t have the right lens, until now! These pictures were taken through the dirty windows in my back door so the quality isn’t great in some (especially the bird).

Okay, time for the GIVEAWAY!
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve popped my kid in the face with my camera while leaning over to pick her up! I love wearing my camera during events so I can snap a few shots here and there, opposed to running to my camera bag every time I want to take a picture!
